Why did you choose the law?

I was sent through the post while studying for my A-levels a leaflet to attend seminar on the English legal system at the Imperial College London, since then I have had the bug.

Tell us a bit about how you got here…

I am currently a Trainee Solicitor who joined Band Hatton Button following my graduation in Law from Northampton University and completion of the Legal Practice Course at De Montfort University in Leicester.

I undertook work experience at Band Hatton Button in my second year of university, assisting with case work and liaising with clients, and unearthed a great passion and enthusiasm for a career in law.

I have also spent time within the legal services department at Network Rail which gave me an insight of work carried out by a government corporate sector.

I am passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion and recognises the importance of employing people from all sorts of backgrounds with different skills and interests.

I have also recently become a ‘Dementia Friend‘.

What does your day job look like?

It varies day to day. No day is the same as I deal with different clients who’s needs are different.

What do you like to do outside of work?

In my spare time I enjoy a variety of sports including playing football, Muay-Thai and going to the gym.  Alongside this I enjoy travelling, and have a love for high performance supercars. I am a Back to the Future geek and enjoy spending time with family and friends.
