Litigation – Improper Directorship

Sector

Hospitality.

How we helped

Our client’s ex-partner was instructed to manage their business while our client travelled home to Turkey. While away, the ex-partner changed the locks to the property and filed documents at Companies House purporting to be a director and shareholder of our client’s company. After a preliminary trial it was determined that our client was and always was the director of the company and her ex-partner never was. The ex-partner had to pay our client’s considerable legal costs. Our client also successfully opposed the ex-partner’s attempts to appeal the decision.
