How we helped
The client entered into a contract with the defendant in which the claimant provided services for the defendant company. The contract was terminated but not in accordance with the Contract, the client continued to accept instructions and provide services. The client has not received payment of invoices since June 2015 amounting to in excess of £350,000. The Defendants have denied liability and refuse to enter into mediation, so proceedings were issued. The defendants made an application for summary judgment and / or strike out and security of Costs. The summary judgment / strike out was heard in October which we were successful in defending on behalf of our client. The defendant requested permission to appeal which was refused at the hearing and they have now made an application for permission to appeal.
