Philip Costigan

Tell us a bit about how you got here…

I was educated at King Henry VIII School and Bristol University, joining Band Hatton (as it then was) in 1975 and qualifying as a Solicitor in 1977.  I have been here ever since!

What does your day job look like?

I deal with all areas of commercial property, including sales and purchasers, leases (acting for either Landlord or Tenant), construction and project development. I am responsible for developing and handling a substantial caseload of property related work for some of the firm’s larger commercial clients.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I have lived in Coventry since I was five years old. Away from the office, interests include sport (watching more than playing these days!), good food and wine, my garden, staying fit and healthy, travelling to warmer climates, and a good book.

I am also a past Chair of Coventry & Warwickshire First, and past President of Warwickshire Law Society.

“Over the past 19 years with the portfolio you’ve been pivotal in everything we’ve achieved and for that I’d like to express my deep appreciation. Your professionalism and attention to detail are exemplary.”

Dina Parmar is another prominent figure whose expertise encompasses property finance, transactions involving healthcare assets and leasehold enfranchisement from both a landlord and tenant perspective. The other key partner in the team is Philip Costigan who is well-connected in the Republic of Ireland property market.”
