Why did you choose the law?

I chose law because it has always interested me. There are so many different areas within the field that I knew I'd never get bored exploring it.

Tell us a bit about how you got here…

I'm from Coventry and studied Law at Coventry University while working part-time at a local estate agents. After graduating, I spent a year as a legal secretary at a local firm before starting the Legal Practice Course, continuing to work alongside my studies. I then gained experience as a legal assistant at a local authority before securing a training contract with a large regional firm in Birmingham. I qualified in 2013 and went on to spend over a decade there before moving to a national practice. Recently, I decided it was time to return to my hometown of Coventry.

What does your day job look like?

No two days are ever the same. My work involves managing client queries, maintaining clear and timely communication, and moving matters forward effciently. It's a balance of problem-solving, coordination, and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks - all with the aim of delivering a smooth and positive client experience.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I'm a mum to two very active boys, so much of my time is spent stuttling them between activities - whether it's sitting poolside at swimming lessons or on the sidelnes of a football pitch. I've recently got a season ticket for Coventry City FC and enjoy going to games with my dad and youngest, who is football-mad. I also love catching up with friends and making time for the occasional night out with my husband.
