Mark Moseley
Managing Director
About Me
I am the Managing Director at Band Hatton Button, having joined the firm in September 2008. Before moving into the legal sector, I worked in banking before making the move into law and gaining experience with other law firms.
The opportunity to move into the legal profession came at a point in my career when I felt it was the right time to take on a new challenge and apply my commercial experience in a different environment. When I joined Band Hatton Button, I was particularly attracted by the ambition of the Partners and their vision to grow the firm and establish it as the leading law firm in Coventry.
Over the years, I have seen the firm develop considerably, and it has been rewarding to be part of that journey and to help shape its continued growth and direction.
My Role
As Managing Director, my role is focused on leading the business and helping to shape the firm's strategy and future direction. I work closely with the Partners and wider team across the business, keeping a close eye on our key areas of performance and identifying opportunities for growth and development.
A big part of my role is making sure we remain focused on our objectives, while continuing to look for ways to improve how we operate, strengthen our client offering and create opportunities for the firm and our people.
I also enjoy working across the different areas of the business and bringing a commercial perspective to the decisions we make. No two days are quite the same, which is one of the things that makes the role interesting.
What I Enjoy Most
What I enjoy most is seeing the business move forward. I like identifying opportunities, working out how we can make the most of them and then seeing the results of those decisions come through.
I particularly enjoy the variety that comes with leading a business. There is always something different to consider, whether that is growth, people, clients, performance or finding ways to do things better. I also enjoy working with the Partners and the wider team to turn ideas and ambitions into something tangible.
Outside the Office
Outside of work, most of my time is taken up with family life, and, like many parents, acting as a taxi service for the children!
When I do get some downtime, I enjoy getting away on holiday and making the most of time with family. I’m also quite happy to admit that, like most people, there’s nothing better than switching off with a good Netflix series when there’s finally a quiet moment.
