Why did you choose the law?

I had finished my college course, and was looking for a job to see me through the summer. I come across an advertisement for an office junior in a law firm, and then never left the law!

Tell us a bit about how you got here:

I started out as an office junior at another local firm around 17 years ago and quickly moved to a PA position in residential. I then joined BHB as commercial PA in BHB where I spent most of my time (briefly worked in Residential and Corporate). Residential has always been my favourite department and when my son went to school, I decided it was time to now look at doing something slightly different to my usual and started my ILEx Paralegal Apprenticeship Level 3 Course, which then instigated my move to Residential as a Paralegal.

What does your day job look like?

A lot of communication with clients. Preparing/ submitting contract packs and dealing with enquiries received. Reviewing contract packs, searches, mortgage offers etc. Dealing with exchange of contracts/ completions

What do you like to do outside of work?

I love to spend time with my partner, son and family whether that be football matches, park visits or holidays. We also have a very active Cocker Spaniel who takes up a lot of my time on very long walks!
