About Me

I chose a career in law because I wanted to be in a profession where I could genuinely help people. Law gives me the opportunity to support individuals and families through some of the most important and often challenging moments in their lives. Being able to make a positive difference to someone’s situation is what motivates me most.

I graduated from Coventry University with a 2:1 Law degree in 2024 and gained practical experience early in my career by securing an administrative role at a trust corporation before completing my studies. This provided me with valuable insight into private client work and helped build a strong foundation for my legal career.

I later joined Band Hatton Button and have continued to develop my skills and knowledge within the Wills, Trusts and Probate team. In September 2026, I began my Solicitor Apprenticeship, which allows me to combine hands-on experience with continued professional study as I work towards qualification as a solicitor.

My Role

I am a Senior Paralegal in the Wills, Trusts and Probate team, supporting two lawyers with a wide range of matters from initial instruction through to the final administration of estates.

My role is varied, fast-paced and no two days are ever quite the same. I regularly assist with new client enquiries and am often one of the first people clients speak to when contacting the department. I enjoy helping clients understand the legal process and providing reassurance during what can often be a difficult and emotional time.

Day to day, I liaise with clients, financial institutions and other third parties, draft legal documents and correspondence, and help progress matters efficiently. I work closely with the wider team to ensure clients receive a professional and supportive service throughout their matter.

What I Enjoy Most

The aspect of my role I enjoy most is helping clients navigate complex situations with confidence and clarity. Whether it is assisting with the administration of an estate or guiding someone through the next steps following a bereavement, I find it rewarding to know that my work can make a meaningful difference.

I also enjoy the variety that comes with private client work. Every matter is different, which means there is always something new to learn. Working alongside experienced colleagues and developing my knowledge through my Solicitor Apprenticeship provides continuous opportunities for professional growth and new challenges.

Outside the Office

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and exploring new places. I love experiencing different cultures and trying new foods, especially the ones I can barely pronounce.

I also enjoy spending time with family and regularly visit relatives in Swindon. When I am not travelling or planning my next adventure, you will often find me binge-watching my favourite Netflix shows and discovering new series to add to my watchlist. Whether I am exploring a new country or settling in for a show, I enjoy finding ways to relax, unwind and make the most of my spare time.

I enjoy meeting new people, experiencing different perspectives and embracing opportunities to learn something new along the way.
