My typical work day

As a junior paralegal in the residential property department, I work directly with Kate McNamara, supporting her with her files. We deal with sales and purchases and also Help to Buy loan redemptions, but most often purchases and surrenders of properties at Retirement Villages.

My day to day tasks vary from issuing Contract Packs, obtaining redemption statements, corresponding with clients, estate agents and solicitors as well as setting up completions.

Although there tends to be a standard process to follow when dealing with these transactions, there’s always something new to learn and I enjoy gaining more and more knowledge as I go.

Favourite work memory

The firm held a Charity Ball a couple of years ago, in 2023, which I helped organise back when I was in the Client Relations Department. I had never planned an event of that size before but of course I wanted it to go extremely well.

The evening itself was a huge success, raising over £9,000 for the UHCW Dementia Charity, a charity I since hold very close to my heart. It was great to see months of planning finally all come together for an incredible cause.

Hobbies & Interests

I love to travel and see new places and experience different cultures. I try to visit somewhere new whenever I can and I hope to one day be able to say I have visited every country possible!

I enjoy spending time in nature so will often go on hikes or long walks and when I’m not spending time with family and friends then I can usually be found with a book in hand; my favourite being thrillers or watching a bit of reality TV.
