Why did you choose the law?

It was not a conscious decision as I applied for a secretarial position through an advert in a local newspaper back in 1988 via a P O Box address so I did not know it was a law firm. I have worked in the law ever since.

Tell us a bit about how you got here…

I was a PA to a partner in a law firm in Essex for many years before I studied to become a paralegal. Upon my qualification I became a fee earner in private client for eight years before deciding I needed a different challenge and moved to commercial property two years ago. I am also a Fellow of the Institute of Paralegals.

I relocated with my family to Southam in 2018 and joined Band Hatton Button shortly after.

What does your day job look like?

I work on a range of cases, under the supervision of senior lawyers. Every day is different, working on matters varying in complexity and requirements.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I enjoy reading, baking and socialising with my family friends. I also enjoy travelling and my most memorable experience to date was when I visited Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
