About Me
I am a Senior Paralegal in the Family Department at Band Hatton Button. Growing up, I had a particular interest in Law and I realised I wanted to work in a profession where I could help and support people through some of the most difficult times in their lives.
My journey with Band Hatton Button began as a Post Completions Assistant in the Residential Property Department. I was soon promoted to Legal Secretary before embarking on my CILEX Paralegal Apprenticeship, which I completed in 2023. I then joined the Family Department as a Paralegal, progressing to Senior Paralegal in November 2024.
Alongside my role, I am currently studying for an LLB (Hons) Law and Legal Practice degree at BPP University. In November 2025, I was incredibly honoured to be named Warwickshire Junior Lawyer of the Year, an achievement that marked an important milestone in my legal career. I am passionate about providing excellent client care and supporting clients throughout every stage of their legal journey.
My Role
As a Senior Paralegal in the Family Department, I support our solicitors with a wide range of family law matters. My day-to-day responsibilities include arranging initial client meetings, preparing court bundles and documents, liaising with experts and other professionals and making enquiries on behalf of clients.
I work closely with both clients and colleagues to ensure matters progress as smoothly as possible and that clients feel informed and supported throughout the process. One of the aspects of my role I enjoy most is attending court with clients and providing reassurance and practical support during what can often be a challenging and emotional time.
What I Enjoy Most
The most rewarding part of my role is being able to help people when they need support the most. Family law can be incredibly sensitive, and I enjoy building relationships with clients and helping them feel reassured throughout the process.
I also enjoy the variety that comes with the role. No two days are ever the same, and every case presents new opportunities to learn and develop. I am fortunate to work alongside a supportive and knowledgeable team, and I am constantly learning from my colleagues and the work we do.
Outside the Office
Outside of work, I enjoy keeping active and regularly go to the gym and swimming. I also love travelling and experiencing different cultures, cuisines and ways of life.
When I'm not working or studying, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, making the most of opportunities to explore new places and create new memories.
